Learn to ride or improve your skills at Teahen Farms!

We offer basic pleasure riding lessons as well as instruction in a variety of disciplines, including dressage, huntseat, and western pleasure. We focus on proper grooming, safety, general horse care, and the fundamentals of riding in addition to the development of show skills.

Lessons are taught year-round in our lighted indoor arena and outdoors, weather permitting. We also incorporate off-site activities such as trail rides and horse shows for our lesson students with the desire and ability to participate.

We work hard to match each student with the right horse and are happy to help you shop for your own when you're ready!

With our convenient location just north of downtown Traverse City on Old Mission Peninsula, our students include residents of the greater Grand Traverse area, surrounding counties, and vacationers.

Lessons are available from Liz Teahen Kennedy and other instructors including Rebecca Teahen and Nan Lynch.
